School Games Platinum Award Success

This is an incredible achievement for our school. We have been awarded the Platinum School Games Mark for our sporting commitment here at Bracken Leas. This is a HUGE achievement and credit to all the hard work of our brilliant Sports Lead Miss Wilkinson who has worked tirelessly to move us up to this level. Our Platinum status will stand for 2 years; 2023-24 and 2024-2025.

In order to achieve platinum, we had to do everything required for gold in addition to submitting a case study from a selection of statements. Our school chose the following statement ‘ Demonstrate how you have embedded positive experiences of competition into your offer and how this has made a difference to your uptake’. We believe that it is crucial that every young person has the opportunity to be exposed to PE in order to offer them the opportunity to be inspired and foster a lifelong love and appreciation of sport and exercise. Our Platinum School Games Award achievement is testament to our commitment to this area of the curriculum.
