Wonderful New Artwork
Over the last week a new art display has been installed in KS2. This features Beautiful ink and watercolour roses created by our Year 3/4 Art Club. Simple but stunning.
Meanwhile, our Year 5 children have been studying How to Train Your Dragon, creating databases from Top Trumps and reading the book as a class. Linked to this, in Art, they have been creating some stunning clay dragon eyes, and being so proud of their work, the children would like to have them on display for all to see. If you know of anyone with something suitable, please can you contact the school office.
In Year 3 children are learning about the Stone Age as their topic this term. In response to this they have been using chalks to create negative art in their weekly art lessons. They have been layering their images, smudging their chalks and learning to think like a prehistoric artist would when creating their cave paintings.
Finally, our Year 1/2 Art Club have been creating some beautiful paintings of Spring Hyacinths. These are so colourful and a great reminder that Spring in coming!
