Sports Round Up

As Spring arrives there have been several sporting events within school in recent weeks. Here is a round up of our achievements.

Trust Swimming Gala

Congratulations to our Year 5/6 swimming squad who were in action last Friday at our annual trust swimming gala. We are pleased to report that we were the winners! Well done to everyone involved, you were marvellous to watch and showed great sportsmanship.

Key Stage 2 Table Cricket

A group of Key Stage 2 children had a wonderful time at Northampton Cricket Club earlier this week. They have been participating in table cricket club at school to develop their skills with Pratik Rachh, who is involved with the Northampton Steelbacks. On Wednesday they put their training into action and played against other schools in the county. A lovely time was had by all and they finished 5th and 7th in the competition.

Year 5/6 Trust Netball

We have had a fantastic afternoon of netball with 3 teams of our Year 5 and 6 children taking part in competitive games against 3 other schools. All of the children represented Bracken Leas brilliantly, demonstrating teamwork and respect to each other and the other teams. We were incredibly proud to stand on the sidelines and watch them really enjoying the sport.
