Will Glister from Northampton Saints – Visit to BLPS

Will Glister joined Northampton Saints’ Senior Academy from Midlands Central (formerly Wasps) Academy ahead of the 2023/24 season. A former Buckingham RUFC player, Glister moved to City of Oxford College on Wasps’ AASE programme and played fullback for their side.

We were lucky enough to have Will come to school and speak to our KS2 children. He spoke to the children about his journey to professional rugby, from his early love of all sports leading to him training with a local team then on to his recent experience of training with the England team itself. He spoke of determination and hard work, but most importantly about always being yourself, no matter what others think. Will spoke of how any child can be successful, no matter their initial skill level and explained how he had achieved this. He didn’t give up, and neither should they. I am sure that he has inspired many of out Bracken Leas children to focus on achieving their dreams too. Thank you to Will for coming to speak with such genuine encouragement and care.
