World Book Day Celebrations 2025

World Book Day 2025 is fast approaching and we are excited to let you know our exciting plans! We are delighted to be involved in World Book Day on Friday 7th March 2025. The day will be dedicated to reading and book related activities based on a whole school theme of ‘Journeys’ using picture books as a stimulus. In the run up to World Book Day, we will be holding a ‘Read Your Way!’ competition and a ‘Book in a Box’ competition – read on to find out more and how to enter!

Optional Dress Up

Children are invited to dress up as a book character on World Book Day. This could involve a full costume or just a prop / hat (or similar) relating to a favourite book or character. We are always impressed by the amazing and inventive ways the children dress on the day. If possible, please pop your name inside and bring the book that relates to your book character to share with your class.

Please note that dress up is optional and we ask that football kits are not worn unless they relate directly to your child’s chosen book character.
